Explore Sydney's Sights
During this 2½-3 hour, easy-walking tour we will uncover the history and explore the sites of Australia’s most popular city. Your friendly and knowledgeable Sydney tour guide will give you insights into the people, places and events of our sun kissed city.
From the Town Hall we will explore Sydney’s beginnings and development from it’s early days as a convict colony right up to the major developments that have made Sydney the world city that it is today. We’ll also cover things to see and do in Sydney especially those that are free, to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
We also have a shortened Sydney Highlights Tour at 3pm daily until 5th of Jan then Fridays ongoing if you don’t have enough time for the full tour!

Our Sydney Sights walk concludes near Campbell’s Cove or Hickson Road reserve in Circular Quay, right by the Harbour Bridge and across the water from the Opera House. It finishes right next to The Rocks, making it perfect for grabbing lunch or exploring the area before joining our evening Rocks walk!

The tour walks for roughly 2.5 to 3 hours over a relaxed 3.5km (2 miles) route through the CBD. We walk at an easy, conversational pace with frequent stops to share local stories and history.
It can be tricky to find the group once they are under way.
That said we give 5 minutes for people to turn up late and then are at the start point for a few minutes after that.
From there we walk to George St and head north (left) to the southern entrance of the QVB. We then head inside the QVB to the middle of the building and then back out to George St where we continue north (left) along George St and then east (right) along Market St to the south end of Pitt St Mall. From there we continue east along Market St to Hyde Park where we stop near the Archibald fountain at the northern end of Hyde Park.
Yes! The Sydney Sights route utilises flat city pavements, pedestrian plazas, and accessible street crossings, making it friendly for prams, strollers, and wheelchairs.
Yes, we have a quick 10-minute break about halfway through the walk near clean public restrooms, places where you could grab a quick snack and water refill stations.
There is no cost to book! You enjoy the experience and decide what the walk was worth to you at the end. Guides carry digital card readers for Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, as well as cash.
Yes! The Sydney sights tour finishes next to the Rocks district and a short walk from the start of The Rocks tour, giving you plenty of time to explore The Rocks markets or find a nice cafe or pub for a post tour lunch.
To ensure group sizes stay comfortable and enjoyable for everyone, we cannot accept organised groups or groups of 10+ on public walks. You can easily book a Sydney Private Tour so your crew gets a dedicated guide!
